LICENSING SHOULD NOT SLOW YOUR ROLLOUT

When your team relies on dedicated channels, repeaters, or multi-site systems, the paperwork matters. Many business two-way systems fall under Part 90 rules, where a new frequency request, many system changes, and some temporary use require frequency coordination as part of the filing.

FleetRadio helps you pull the details together, work through coordination, and file through the FCC Universal Licensing System (ULS), which is the FCC’s filing and database system for Wireless Radio Services.

FCC LICENSING FAQ

Do all two-way radios need an individual FCC license?

No. Some Personal Radio Services can be used without an individual FCC license under Part 95, with limits. Many business systems using Part 90 channels require an individual authorization and coordination for common filing types.

What is frequency coordination?

For most new frequency requests, many changes, and some temporary operations, Part 90 rules require a coordination showing as part of the application process.

What info do you need from us?

Service area, sites (or job locations), user count, equipment type, and technical details the coordinator may request, like antenna and power info.

Can you help with DMR trunking, IP Site Connect, or XPT?

Yes. We align system design with what is filed, so sites and coverage expectations match the record.

Can you help after we already have a call sign?

Yes. Updates, adds, and corrections often matter as much as the first filing.
