About Fleet Radio

Clear communication makes work easier

Fleet Radio helps teams communicate faster and work smarter across most of North Carolina. We focus on practical radio systems that improve productivity, efficiency, and safety.

Who we are

We are a family-owned business with over 20 years of experience in radio communications. From the mountains to the coast, we help NC organizations choose the right tools and technology for clear, reliable team communication.

About Fleet Radio

Fleet Connect was founded in 1997 by Nick Long, originally providing dispatch radio systems and wide-area two-way radio service from Durham, NC, using the region’s tallest broadcast towers. We supported business fleets across the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill market, then expanded into Sanford in the mid-2000s and entered the public safety market, building reliable communications networks for police and fire first responders. We were the first in the state to offer cellular-based two-way radios and established a strong footprint in the agricultural market throughout the southeastern U.S. In 2020, we acquired Sea Coast Communications, founded in 1974 in Wrightsville Beach, NC, by Paul Holliday. Today, Nick and two of his sons, alongside an experienced support team, continue delivering leading-edge communications solutions—powered largely by referrals from satisfied customers.

What we do

We build solutions around how your team actually works, not just what looks good on a spec sheet. We can support small teams, large operations, and everything in between.

  • Guidance on coverage, roles, and setup
