WHAT XPT IS
Extended Pseudo Trunk is a Hytera approach that adds trunk-like channel efficiency to DMR Tier II repeaters. It is designed to increase group calling capacity using the repeaters you already run, plus a license and basic network gear.
At a location, multiple repeaters connect through a simple network switch so calls can move to open time slots and reduce “busy” moments. If you operate more than one location, multiple locations can also connect over routed IP to share groups across a wider footprint.
